Mathematics
Mathematics is a philosophical concept. One does not know that it is a “one”. A single tree does not know that it is a tree or that it stands alone. Nor does it know that it is beautiful. The materialist does not acknowledge anything beyond that which can be experienced by one of the five senses. When a pilot experiences a mechanical problem, the controller asks,  “How many souls on board?” The phrase on board is non-material. A board of directors is a concept. A real board is not. It can be seen, touched, smelled, tasted, or heard, when some action is taken upon it. A materialist cannot see any value in story, such as poems, short stories, or novels. How then does the materialist explain love and beauty, and math and philosophy?

Aristotle
Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics is wholly conceptual. It explores the nature of happiness (eudaimonia) as the ultimate goal of human life, achieved through virtuous activity and practical wisdom. It argues that happiness isn't fleeting pleasure but a state of flourishing that comes from developing moral virtues like courage, justice, and temperance through habituation and reason. The ten books also cover justice, friendship, and the contemplative life, profoundly shaping Western moral philosophy.

Nietzsche
Nietzsche's Thus Spoke Zarathustra is a philosophical novel where the prophet-like Zarathustra descends from solitude to teach humanity about creating new values beyond traditional morality, especially after the "death of God". It explores themes like the Übermensch (Overman) as the goal of self-overcoming, the Eternal Recurrence, living life as if you'd repeat it forever, and the Last Man, complacent, pleasure-seeking humanity.
