Semi-automatic hunting rifles are common at sportsmen’s clubs. These guns have the same mechanism as a semi-automatic assault-style firearm, such as the AR-15.

Any person 21 or older who can legally possess a firearm can carry a concealed weapon in a vehicle without a second permit, 18 or older if carrying with a permit/license that Maine honors.

Maine has the lowest number of assaults per capita of any state. It has the lowest violent crime rate overall compared to any other state and the fourth-lowest property crime rate as well.
