The House of Representatives censured the California congressman for lying while he headed the House Intelligence Committee by falsely claiming that there was collusion between Russia and President Trump, that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election. The investigation into allegations against Trump cost the American taxpayer millions of dollars (estimates differ - about $32 million). Demand as a moral obligation that he pay for the investigation with what his senatorial campaign raises.
