King Charles III and his siblings are my generation. My mother has four children and seven grandchildren; the Queen has four children and eight grandchildren. Of the eight children, five males and three females, the first was born in 1946, the last in 1964. Mom (June 4, 1926, San Francisco) and the Queen (April 21, 1926, London) were born less than two months apart but a continent and an ocean distant, and both were traditional working and self-sacrificing women. On the day of their deaths, my mother and the Queen met Our Lord on equal terms.
