From "The After Hours", The Twilight Zone, episode #34, originally aired June 10, 1960, two of the department store mannequins are getting touched up. In another picture, Anne Francis as Marsha White is getting attention from James Millhollin as store manager Mr. Armbruster. Was the TV episode based on Bullochs Department Store at 3050 Wilshire Boulevard, a store that was full of secrets, including dark tunnels, private rooms, separate elevators, payoffs and poor pay for Negroes and tailors?

Classified as science fiction, the story was written by Rod Serling. He wrote the story and teleplay for the episode, staring Anne Francis as Marsha White. Mr. Serling is on my Reading List, and Anne was a lovely actress with a long TV/filmography.

Old Testament bullocks
There were instances where the Israelites deviated from worshiping God and instead worshipped other gods, sometimes using bull imagery, as exemplified by the Golden Calf incident in the Book of Exodus. The golden calf in the wilderness was a grave sin against God's commandment not to worship idols.

A bullock is a castrated male bovine.
