Don’t put it past Cupid to be an instigator of the YouTube copyright strike on Mass of the Ages, Episode 2 (see More tab). I’m sure that lawyers are helping Cameron O’Hearn, Producer/Director, overcome the strike.
Catholics have not returned to Cupid’s modernist church following the virus-induced closures of 2020-21. Statistics confirm the drop in attendance.
A 2019 story shows huge increases in attendance at Latin Mass parishes. Growth since the 2020-21 closures is even more amazing. The Latin Mass and slight variations in early centuries produced every saint of the Catholic Church (see the Beginnings post on 7/12/2022). Cupid is determined to wipe it out, and that makes him very unsaintly.
I asked Gregory (8), one of our altar boys, how long it took him to memorize all the Latin responses given by the boy you see next to the priest at all times. He said, “Two weeks.” When he made his First Holy Communion at age 7, he told his mother that he wanted to go to Mass every day. She tries to get him there every day.
An interesting fact I learned when I visited Notre-Dame Paris. The floor inside the cathedral was uneven because of carriage wheels. Wealthy people drove their buggies in, so there was much more locomotion then than now.
