crazy divers give it

A few comments about swimmers, divers, and water polo players from someone who was a competitive swimmer for six years, and I loved my teammates, especially the senior threesome: there are three sizes, one meter diving board, three meter springboard, and 10 meter platform (≈ 33 feet).

• You will never meet odder people.
• One must have a little streak of sadism.
• When asked to switch to diving, I gave a flat no.
• Diving requires courage and a high pain threshold.
• Water polo players are the most sadistic of all.

The Olympics have changed: money oriented/controlled/infiltrated.
