eve's apple

If Eve could jeopardize the whole human race for an apple, what would she do for a Klondike bar? A little about that delicious orb. The forbidden fruit has been represented as an apple. Why? Wordplay. The Latin word for apple, malum, can mean both apple and evil.

Two more Jesuit jokes:
#1) A Jesuit and a Capucine travel together in a train compartment, both reading their breviary, but the Jesuit also smoking a cigarette. The Brownfriar looks stunned, but the other says: I have got the permit from the Congregation for the Clergy in Rome. So the Capucine also asks for this permit. When the two meet for the next time, the mendicant says disappointed: "I was refused that permit!" "What did you write?" "I asked if I may SMOKE while I am PRAYING." "Oh no", replied the Jesuit, "you should have written, as I did, <if I may PRAY while I am SMOKING.>"
#2) A Jesuit and a Capucine travel together, the latter has got, as usual in his order, a long beard, and this beard was firy red. The Jesuit felt bored, and so he decided to diss his travel companion. "Do You know that Judas had a long red beard?", he asked. "That isn't a really verified historical fact", replied the Capucine, "but sure is indeed, that he had been in the company of Jesus!"
And at last a pun:
Si cum Jesuitis, non cum Jesu itis! (of course this isn't true) :-)
