My aunt, Lt. Ann Dunn, was a Nurse Anesthetist in General Patton’s Third Army, WWII, theater of action North Africa, Italy, and Germany. Patton had crossed through southern Germany and into Czechoslovakia, only to encounter an order not to take the capital, Prague, as it had been reserved for the Soviets. Patton was livid. Ann then worked at San Francisco General until age 55.
