A Catholic who does not attend Mass every Sunday is in mortal sin. Approximately 75% do not attend. One never hears Francis or the bishops speak about it. They know the stats. Why are they silent? They don’t believe in the real presence, or they don’t care if people go to Hell. There are no other explanations.
The Eucharistic revival proposed by the US bishops will fail. What will work: 1) move the tabernacle back to the center of the sanctuary; 2) require the priest face ad orientem; 3) give communion on the tongue only and no consecrated wine to the laity; 4) receive communion while kneeling; 5) get rid of Eucharistic ministers; 6) nix altar girls; 7) use the 1962 Missal only; and 8) never, never close a church again.
The closures miraculously mobilized many.
