In the Gradual today (Ps. 85, 2, 6), the Latin word spero is used, which means "I hope", and is translated as trust. Thus, hope is the same as trust. See what you are missing. Fr. Joshua Curtis, FSSP, recommended that if we use any Bible besides the Douay-Rheims, we ignore all the footnotes. Biblical hermeneutics over the last 200 years has brought doubt and confusion. When I asked if Belshazzar was a real king, Britannica got it right, saying that he was coregent of Babylon. Curtis said that he is not a biblical scholar. Ha! He spent seven months, once a week, with the Missionaries of Charity in Sacramento, teaching them one book of the Bible, and he said something that startled me: Joseph was the Vicar of the Pharaoh. So, do as Curtis says. The timeline is fine. However, the poster blamelessly fell for hermeneutical revisionism.
I'm sure you can figure out which ones.
