When you visit Grass Valley on a normal day, it is as if you are stepping back into gold mining history. I vote it the prettiest little town in California. Only 2,000 feet above sea level and about one hour from Sacramento.
There is a conservative roadside sign on Hwy 49 to Grass Valley, State of Jefferson. Ha-ha!
