Nurse sharks do not behave like professional nurses.
Last summer an eight-year-old boy from Great Britain was bitten in the Bahamas, and in April a 30-year-old nurse, Carmen Canovas Cervello, was bitten in the Maldives. Touted as harmless to swimmers and snorkelers, nurse sharks are animals to avoid. The Florida Museum of Natural History maintains an international shark attack file.
