Father Aaron John Kuhn: He was charged by summons in Stearns County with third-degree criminal sexual conduct, and police said that he used his position as a spiritual advisor to manipulate and pressure an adult woman into a sexual relationship over a three-year period. Father Anthony Oelrich: A former priest who was convicted and served prison time for criminal sexual conduct after engaging in a sexual relationship with a woman seeking spiritual advice, he was dismissed from the priesthood in late 2022. 5/12/2026 St. Cloud In May 2020, the Diocese of St. Cloud agreed to a $22.5 million financial settlement trust to compensate approximately 70 survivors of child sexual abuse, with cases dating back to the 1950s. The diocese faces ongoing financial and institutional challenges tied to those historical events, including a significant pension shortfall and a major pastoral restructuring plan that merges 131 parishes into 48 parish groups. The North American province reached a $16.5 million bankruptcy settlement in 2013. Prior to that, they paid approximately $25.6 million in earlier abuse cases between 2006 and 2011.
