We were told to go to Mass at a time other than 1pm on the Sunday after Christmas because it will be too crowded. Altar boys are receiving their awards and promotions, and their families will be present. We have topped 100 altar boys, ages 7-18, in a congregation of 1,500. That means one out of every 15 parishioners is an altar boy, and there is no cry room for babies. Rallying cry: if the Church falls down around us and we survive, finish Mass and then revive. We are a little piece of Vietnam or the African continent because Catholicism does thrive under persecution. Merry Christmas, Francis. Midnight Mass is in 24 hours.
