For Catholic Americans like me there is a fair amount of prejudice that comes from purist protestants or from secularists, or as a result of plain old ignorance or disinterest, and that includes modern Mass goers. Many people make assumptions about me.
I make assumptions, but they arise from the Judeo-Christian ethic and its fulfillment in Catholicism, which does not change. One might say that great people, writers and thinkers, musicians and artists, saints and otherwise, help it “mature”.
That’s the beauty of what I received from the God-Man, and a few people were all He needed to help me out along the way, including the move from the modern Mass to the Latin Mass in 2020.
