Bishop Fellay ordains men to the subdiaconate, a traditional order, as part of their formation. The subdiaconate is the first of the major orders and signifies a commitment to perpetual chastity, daily recitation of the Divine Office, assisting the deacon at Mass, preparing the chalice, and reading the Epistle. Fellay is fluent in five languages: English, French, German, Italian, and Latin.

This is not the Novus Ordo, which forms "lay deacons" because they can't attract men to the priesthood. There are only two living FSSPX bishops: Bernard Fellay (67) and Alfonso de Galarreta (68). Fellay is the one who has been under constant verbal attack. ​The FSSP relies on the goodness of bishops from around the world to ordain its men.

The largest Latin Mass Church is the United States, and frankly, the Yanks are the engine. The Franks are in the front seat. You know who is driving and the direction of the hood ornament.

In 2033, this form of worship will enter its third millennium.
