Follow the top line. The right hand carries the melody, except for a few measures. A little syncopation makes the piece sound melancholic, but I get closer to God when sad. I think it's established that Tchaikovsky killed himself, and that grieves the heart and must have grieved AΩ. I hope he went to Purgatory as a reward for the joy his music always gives people.
