Unlike Father Gismondi, FSSP, I grew up with the Latin Mass, but I rediscovered it in September 2020, and like him, I will not return to the modern Mass. He is now at St. Mary's in Pennsylvania, and I attend St. Stephen the First Martyr, Sacramento, CA.

Joe; when one says "inner city" in the US, one is talking about crime-infested neighborhoods. I don't think you mean that about Vienna. The FSSP generally gets churches in or near the inner city because that's what's available to late-comers. Our church was actually a Lutheran church that was going bankrupt. A group of stout Catholics took on the challenge of starting a whole new parish, and the parish is atypical in that it draws from seven counties. One friend drives 2 1/2 hours to get to church. This is not unusual. That reveals the loyalty and commitment parishioners have toward the FSSP. Leave a Reply. |
