• Global elites, including government leaders and billionaires, are planning to abolish private property and seize control of the economy.
• Lockdowns and other public health measures were deliberately designed to cause an economic collapse.
• Mandatory vaccinations and digital ID cards are tools to enslave humanity and create a totalitarian regime. 

Spread and impact of the conspiracy theory
The conspiracy theory spread rapidly on social media and was amplified by conservative commentators and far-right figures. 

• It often ties into older conspiracy narratives, such as the "New World Order," and has been used to justify skepticism and denial about climate change.
• The lack of specific details in the WEF's original plan left it open to misinterpretation and misrepresentation by malicious actors.
• The conspiracy has contributed to the spread of misinformation and distrust in public institutions, with some versions containing antisemitic tropes. ​
