I accepted my first invitation to a meeting and dinner of Tradition, Family, and Property. Imelda was the hostess, and Mr. Calder was our guest. He said that one tradition holds that Joseph died of the love of God and that Jesus gave permission at 18 so Joseph would not be made to watch the passion.
