My television went into the closet several months ago. There was too much on television that demeaned people, especially men, especially in commercials. It was all very subtle. None of the boys or young men of St. Stephen, and I know about 30, ages eight to 29, have a TV in the home. They would rather spend time with each other and family. The boys under 18 aren’t walking around with phones attached to Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram, Snapchat, Zoom, Messenger, CapCut, Spotify, or TikTok. Josh, 16, is working this summer as a rancher. He’ll have some money in the bank. We got a pig roast coming up in August.
