Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia, and submitted material undergoes a process of review. Encyclopedias must be objective, and I have found wikipedia.com to be objective. I know that many, including schools, are critical of Wikipedia. I do not seek perfection in subject material, just what I can understand, examine, and verify. Quora is a collection of worldwide experts in various fields. I am a contributor to The Writer’s Review because I was accepted. The moderator asked for a submission. Once it was reviewed and accepted, I was qualified. I do not consider myself an expert, but I spend time tutoring writing and keeping my blog/diary correct, grammatically and syntactically.
YouTube is a way to communicate, and I pick videos that are accurate and entertaining. YouTube has a set of community standards I do not fully understand. Censorship of bad language is a puzzle. Although parents have controls at their disposal, they cannot oversee everything children will see. Still, YouTube is a useful means to an end.
Social media is a net loss.
