Spain beat England, 1-0. Prince William, lachrymose loser, did not attend the Women’s World Cup Final in Sydney because of environmental impact concerns. Queen Letizia, pompous poser, attended. Disappointing royals and their EU can be overthrown and replaced.

I didn't follow the women's soccer world cup eagerly, was much more interested in the men's one. I was very much in favour of Argentine and very pleased that they finally won, a great farewell fiesta for superstar Lionel Messi.
I was neutral in the final match of the women, I liked both a bit, the Brit gals, because their nickname "lionesses" hinted at the British coats of arms, also on the players' shirts, and not at the geographical background of some of their players, because they had no such players.
The most satisfying moment of the tournament was for me, when this very unlikeable woman Rapinoe missed a penalty and herewith canceled out her team from the further tournament...

Hey Joe: Messi is a practicing Catholic. Not a fan of Rapinoe for her recent comments. Altan, former student, is a soccer player. I haven't talked to him lately. I think he went to Japan late July but should be back in school now. Bobby
