Following a snowfall, people will flock outdoors as soon as the sun’s out. Whether it’s going for a walk or having a snowball fight, the “apricity”, or warmth from the sun, is not to be missed.
When you visit Grass Valley on a normal day, it is as if you are stepping back into gold mining history. I vote it the prettiest little town in California. Only 2,000 feet above sea level and about one hour from Sacramento.
Everywhere in California but a few counties is conservative country. There is a roadside sign on Hwy 49 to Grass Valley, that says, The State of Jefferson. Ha-ha!
