1/30/2026 Journalist Don Lemon was released from custody after he was arrested and hit with federal charges over an anti-immigration enforcement protest on 1/18/2026 at Cities Church in the Summit Hill neighborhood of St. Paul, Minnesota. The demonstration targeted a pastor at the church, David Easterwood, who is reportedly an official with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). A grand jury in Minnesota had indicted Lemon and others on charges of conspiracy and interfering with the First Amendment rights of worshippers during the protest. Lemon was taken into custody by federal agents in Los Angeles, Grammy awards.
