Actor/director Jamal Trulove, convicted under then-DA/chief prosecutor Kamala Harris, just endorsed Donald Trump.
He was convicted of a first-degree murder that occurred in 2007 while Harris was the District Attorney of San Francisco. Mr. Trulove received 50 years to life and spent almost seven years in prison before his conviction was overturned in 2015. The decision overturning his conviction identified prosecutorial misconduct during the first trial, and he was acquitted of all charges in a retrial. Mr. Trulove filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the city of San Francisco and received a $13.1 million settlement in 2019. And yet, people support her with money and votes.
