New Orleans mayor

New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell was indicted by a federal grand jury on August 15, 2025. She faces 18 counts, including conspiracy, wire fraud, obstruction of justice, and making false statements. This is the first time a sitting New Orleans mayor has been charged with a federal crime.
