Mass of the Ages

The Latin Mass was single-handedly preserved by French Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, pictured at the top. He founded the Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX) in 1970 for the purpose of ordaining priests who would say the Latin Mass only.
Other congregations, such as the Benedictines in France, also continued to use the Missal of 1962, the last edition.
For 50 years I attended the New Mass, but when I rediscovered the Latin Mass and the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) in 2020, everything beautiful came back to me, and I vowed I would never attend the other again. It is a lackluster imitation of the Mass handed down through the centuries.
In my blog I traced the Latin Mass to the pontificate of Pope Saint Victor I (A.D. 189-199). Scholars are not sure if his Mass was said in Greek or Latin, or a mix of both languages, but the Mass was all in Latin 100 years later. Latin is one of three sacred languages, the other two being Hebrew and Greek, as testified to by the inscription on the cross.
The Latin Mass emanates from the Last Supper and is the re-presentation of the sacrifice on the cross, which is eternal and ongoing.
The 1962 Missal uses the Douay-Rheims (A.D. 1582/1609) translation of the Vulgate Bible (A.D. 400). The Douay is the first translation of the Bible into English, and the beauty, accuracy, and faithfulness of the translation have never been surpassed.
I have blogged frequently about the current pope. I am not an expert, but membership in the one true Church for over 60 years gives me some amount of expertise. You, the reader, can be the judge of that.
My opinion of him is that a series of his documents place him outside the Church.
Here is an entry I deleted from the blog and placed here because this is a more permanent location. It follows...
Many Catholics are unaware of accusations made by the current Vatican inhabitant. I cataloged them for you. The accusations are what lie beneath the façade.
A Latin Mass goer thinks he has
1. a monopoly on the interpretation of social realities
2. a monopoly on the proposal of solutions to contemporary problems
A Latin Mass goer is
3. rigid
4. a self-absorbed, promethean follower of neo-Pelagianism
5. trusting only in his own powers
6. feeling superior to others
7. observing certain rules
8. remaining intransigently faithful to a particular Catholic style from the past
9. a narcissistic and authoritarian elitist
10. analyzing and classifying others
11. inspecting and verifying
12. following adulterated forms of Christianity
13. shutting himself up within structures that give a false sense of security
14. shutting himself up within rules, which make harsh judges
15. shutting himself up within habits that feel safe
16. divisive
17. exposed
18. disloyal
19. betraying (type)
20. unecclesial (no such word)
21. untrustworthy
22. negationist
23. a club of notaries and lawyers who cultivate their aesthetic passions or plan to instrumentalize the Church as the most famous museum
24. a gatekeeper
25. sick
There’s more:
1. “Christians with a funeral face will not do.”
2. “Allowances granted by my predecessors were being used in an ideological way.”
3. “There is a ‘worldly spirit’ of going backward that is ‘disguised as tradition’ and is ‘fashionable today.’ This backwardism is a temptation that is in the life of the church that leads to worldly restorationism, disguised as liturgy and theology.”
Some of these things might be true, but none are connected to a 2,000-year-old form of worship.
What are his accomplishments?
- He canceled priests.
- He approved of smudging.
- He installed the Pachamama.
- He signed a secret agreement with China.
Our Lord speaks:
26 And when the blade was sprung up, and had brought forth fruit, then appeared also the cockle. 27 And the servants of the goodman of the house coming said to him: Sir, didst thou not sow good seed in thy field? whence then hath it cockle? 28 And he said to them: An enemy hath done this. And the servants said to him: Wilt thou that we go and gather it up? 29 And he said: No, lest perhaps gathering up the cockle, you root up the wheat also together with it. 30 Suffer both to grow until the harvest, and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers: Gather up first the cockle, and bind it into bundles to burn, but the wheat gather ye into my barn.
March 1986
Parishioners take over St. Louis, Port-Marly, France.
What happened? The parishioners rejected the new priest because he was ordered to say Mass in French, which meant the end of the Latin Mass. Parishioners brought their own young priest, and he said Mass in front of the church. The priest the parishioners had rejected had blocked the entrance with cinder blocks, and when Mass in front of the church concluded, parishioners knocked down the barrier.
There are many Catholics who do not understand that the New World Order (NWO) and everything that is happening is directed against the Catholic Church, and that Francis and his cohorts are doing nothing. In fact, he is aiding and abetting the NWO.

Using your 1962 Missal, pray the Mass with the priest.
Before Mass begins, I read the Propers in English first. The Propers are the texts of prayers and selection of Scripture readings proper to the specific feast, feria, or other observed occasion. Then I don't have to look at the English again. There is a simultaneous Mass in the side chapel.
