Maxwell Emerson, 25, a teacher and wrestling coach at Oldham County High School in Kentucky, was shot to death on the morning of July 5, 2023, while walking on the campus of Catholic University of America. The captured suspect is Jaime Macedo, age 22, charged with first-degree murder while armed.
Emerson was headed to the Library of Congress for a three-day professional development workshop and brought his mother and twin brother along to sightsee. I asked the young black male clerk about it. He said employees tell these folks not to return, but they do. Discouraging it is to watch any young male or female trying to make a living and be a witness to what is happening.
