I left my position at the Academy of Art University at the end of 2016. At that time, after 8 PM I could get to any one of our buildings in the downtown area, and there were many buildings, within three to four minutes, and that was without a siren on my patrol vehicle or the ability to run a red light. My supervisor at the time had been vice president of the San Francisco Police Officers Association (SFPOA), and the president he served under is a family friend. The SFPOA says it like it is...tragic.
