Matthew was the first to write. He took up the Aramaic task in the 50s or 60s and was writing for the Jews. Then he translated to Greek, which was the language of commerce in the area. Father Joshua Curtis, FSSP, St. Stephen, gave a 35-minute talk on the Gospel.

Singing in Latin or any language and facing each other down every day in the aisle is not easy, nor is sitting next to each other, day in and day out. The Basilica of San Sisto is one of over sixty minor basilicas among the churches of Rome, and a church since A.D. 600. San Sisto is Pope St. Sixtus II, martyred in 258. Dominicans here, Benedictines, Carmelites, and smaller congregations have maintained tradition.
“When the king enjoys his own again”, first published in 1643, is a Cavalier ballad written by Martin Parker during the English Civil War to honor King Charles I. According to historian Dr. Bernard Capp, the song was perhaps the most popular song in mid-seventeenth century England. The eighteenth-century critic Joseph Ritson called it “the most famous and popular air ever heard in this country” - clips from the film Cromwell 1970 starring Sir Alec Guinness, a practiced Catholic
“Dade” is a noun substitute for “papa”. My father was sometimes called, “Dade”. It can be used as a verb meaning to hold up by the hand, as a child while he toddles, or to walk unsteadily, as a child learning to walk. “No sooner taught to dade, but from their mother trip.” – Drayton Map of France showing the percentage of priests who had sworn allegiance to the Civil Constitution of the Clergy of 1791. If someone were to ask me how I became a Catholic, the answer is in the Gospel.
“And Jesus saith to Simon, Fear not: from henceforth thou shalt catch men.” Noli timéri: ex hoc jam hómines eris cápiens. I was caught. Luke 5, 1-11. Jesus tells Peter to lower his nets. Some people refer to the two entities as the Deep State and the Deep Church. I have been posting more and more material related to Latin because the Deep Church has turned this most beautiful language into a bad boy who needs to be killed. The Douay-Rheims Bible is at the core of the Latin Mass 1962 Missal. It was promulgated on both sides of A.D. 1600 by the English College at Rheims and Douay in France by Catholics fleeing England. Another Quora question prompted me to look at an animated video. It is related to the Metonic Cycle (of the Moon) post of 6-30-2022. However, it taught me what sidereal and synodic months are. Sidereal is pronounced si (long i) deer (accent here) e ul.
First, the Quora question: https://www.quora.com/Why-is-a-sidereal-day-and-month-shorter-than-a-synodic-day-and-month-and-a-sidereal-year-longer-than-a-synodic-year Now, the animation (skip the question, if you like, and just look at the animation): https://www.sumanasinc.com/webcontent/animations/content/sidereal.html The Captain’s Daughter
We were crowded in the cabin, Not a soul would dare to sleep-- It was midnight on the waters, And a storm was on the deep. ’Tis a fearful thing in winter. To be shattered by the blast. And to hear the rattling trumpet Thunder, “Cut away the mast!” So we shuttered there in silence-- For the stoutest held his breath, While hungry sea was roaring And the breakers talked with Death. As thus we sat in darkness, Each one busy with his prayers, “We are lost!” the captain shouted As he staggered down the stairs. But his little daughter whispered, As she took his icy hand, “Isn’t God upon the ocean, Just the same as on the land?” Then he kissed the little maiden, And we spoke in better cheer, And we anchored safe in harbor When the morn was shining clear. James T. Fields (1817-1881) Yesterday, I saw young women protesting on a crossing over I-80, and splashed across one sign was the F-word in red, quite a contrast to a well-ordered monarchy.

In its own words, “Quora is a question-and-answer website where people go to find information. Every piece of content on the site is generated by users, meaning it is created, edited, and organized by the same people that use the website.” I recommend Quora. Thousands of experts give answers to a variety of questions, and 99% of the people with whom I have exchanged ideas and solutions are very kind and very generous with their time.
After YouTube and Wikipedia, Quora is the site I visit most often. It has added to my knowledge, and it has improved my lesson plans and the blog posts on this website. I joined in October 2019. Since then, my contributions have received 32,289 views, 88 upvotes, 50 comments, and five shares. The statistics seem impressive, but, in contrast, one gentleman in physics received 2,500 views on one post alone and many, many likes and shares. You can find me in The Writer’s Review. Ironically, I have answered more questions about math (number theory) than English. “Right as Episode II was approaching 1.5 million views, it was removed from YouTube over an unjust copyright strike. While we fight to get Episode II back on YouTube, we encourage everyone to visit latinmass.com/watch where you can watch the films without all those annoying ads - and in 4K!” - Cameron O'Hearn
Episode II traces the backdoor replacement of the Latin Mass with the modern Mass in the late 60s. Large sections were cut out and parts were rewritten, resulting in a dumbing-down of language and an insult of Brobdingnagian proportions to all, especially people who love words and even those who think otherwise. Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi, Lex Vivendi. The way we worship is the way we believe is the way we live. One must wonder who is behind the strike. The culture we live in is poisoned. People are tagging each other and themselves with identity and gender labels. Groupthink. Even some Catholics use these tags and labels and have been fooled by the evil around us that has laid bare, then made a wasteland of, all good things. Tags and labels represent a failure to be an individual and pursue holiness, and many out there use them and do not see poison.
