So much news is coalescing:

• ​An Italian cardinal, Ghirlanda, 81, is changing the way the pope is elected to allow lay people to vote.
• A German bishop, Fürst, 74, has authorized four female theologians to baptize.
• An Italian priest, Spadaro, 57, is telling Francis to “rewrite” the Bible on a certain sin of the flesh.

Every measurement in the “new” Belgian church points down since 2017. The same is true everywhere else.

On the night of Nov. 14/15, vandals broke into the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Rouen, France, and stole multiple sacred items and caused serious damage to the altar (not the Rouen cathedral).
