Oscar had two children of his own and made a grave error and was imprisoned and shunned. He was received into the Catholic Church on his deathbed by Father Cuthbert Dunne, a Passionist from Ireland, and thus was saved. Some seem to have forgotten that. It would be good for them who are bound for Hell to confess, but I am afraid they will never see their own faults and will find themselves down there, alone.

Oscar Wilde would have never been imprisoned, if his "lover" hadn't instrumentalized him to harm his father, whom he deeply hated. Wilde took a certain legal action which gained its own catastrophic spin and backfired. (The litigious Americans should keep in mind that this often happens when one gets in contact with the legal system) But the Victorian society didn't proactively harass gays, this is a "Black Legend" of the LGTBQIAblablabla-ilk. 10/12/2023 01:20:33 pm
