Discover the reasons for the Legion's success today and learn about their patron saints. Not interested in an establishment of religion, though in the broadest sense, an alignment of governance with Catholicism would be excellent. (There is only one caravan to Heaven.) Nevertheless, I am interested sure as hell in the free exercise thereof (St. Thomas More). All the narrator says applies to Catholic altar boys (7-18). Introduce girls, and boys leave. We have 104, one out of every 15 parishioners. Thank you very much. My sense of the present is that the average American does have the inner strength to resist oppression by a totalitarian state.

Latin root of the verb infinitive to humiliate: humiliare, to make low or humble Latin root of the verb infinitive to humble: humiliare, to make low or humble Conventional wisdom and the dictionary agree that “humiliate” and “humble” are different, but that is not so for a Catholic. I used to think that the Resurrection was the greatest event in history. Now I think the Incarnation was. He who made me, joined me, and had all the emotions I have, not some, all. At the Crucifixion, out of the thousands of people who acclaimed Him, three people stood and watched Him die. What mother would not do that for her son? So, really, there were only two, John and Mary Magdalen. If you tell me that Christ did not feel humiliated and humbled, in short, inadequate, I’d say you were wrong. His Incarnation humiliates and humbles me. Why any person is not overwhelmed by desire for the humiliated and humbled One, I cannot answer. Why’s only get a person closer to death. Aphrodite of Menophantos
Venus pudica is the best-known copy type of the Venus of Cnidus and bears the signature of the sculptor Menophantos: “work by Menophantos, after the Aphrodite in the Troad”. The marble sculpture is Greek art from the 1st century BC, found at a Catholic monastery and now at the National Roman Museum. Look at her, goddess of the humiliated and humbled. Time spent at Mass or with Alexander (10) or Josh (32) stirs the cauldron of emotions. The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, But in ourselves, that we are underlings. Be careful about blaming the devil for anything: faults are internal. Yes, I pray the St. Michael prayer at every Mass, but I give it no further thought, and you will find few words on the devil in the blog, nor will you find much on prophecy or predictions. If you need an exorcism, go to a Catholic priest. That’s all I have to say. The lines are known by almost everyone, but few recognize Shakespeare’s recusancy in Julius Caesar. Good writers disguise their thoughts. Marcus Junius Brutus, born c. 85 BC, died 42 BC, COD suicide, murdered Julius Caesar on March 15, 44 BC. (Oremus Let us pray, related word oration)

“Neri often visited the Catacombs to pray and meditate, and it was there in the month of May or June 1544 that he was mysteriously thrown to the floor and a ball of fire ‘entered his mouth and lodged in his chest.’ “Soon recovering from the shock, he put his hand to his left side and found a swelling as large as his fist. St. Philip Neri was a mystic even before this, but at this time in his life his mystical experiences reached a climax and left the visible mark he carried to his grave. “... a heart so inflamed with the love of God that it forced two ribs into an arch over his heart to give the appearance of a tumor. “Doctors learned this only at an autopsy on the day of his death. ‘...[T]here has never been more than one case of a heart so inflamed with the love of God as to break the ribs of the encasing body.’” By Philip C. Fenton, S.J., excerpted from an article published in the May 1958 issue of Extension magazine All is held in common: no one is enriched by what is here. The little boy benefits from seeing examples of humble, celibate men, and his education about the world outside, beyond his parents, begins here. A generation ranges from 20 to 30 years. What he [Muntefering] says is the most normal thing in the world. Everyone believes in something; no one believes in everything. For example, I do not believe, biologically, in the virgin birth — that’s just nonsense. But the virgin birth as a mythology, a narration meant to highlight something special, that’s something you will find in all religions.
And I would like to tell him, also, that the fundamental principle is that if you want a good man to do something evil, lead him to religion. Religion is the most dangerous thing there is in the world. All you have to do is watch the news, and you’ll see what religion is capable of: to incite wars, and so on and so forth. That is, one has to pick and choose. … (Rev. Franz Meurer in interview with Frank Überall, KiVVON, posted on Feb. 14, 2024; our translation.) He is still a priest (70ish) in Cologne, Germany. St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. Caesar hortatus milites et proelium [battle] commisit. Caesar encouraged the soldiers and committed them to battle. Root: derived from the Latin verb cavillari, to raise silly objections. Usage: “Tradition-minded Catholics, let us not cavil with each other.”
“Although the doctrine of the Blessed Trinity is a supernatural mystery-a truth which we cannot discover by reason nor understand in the present life-we believe it because it has been made known to us by God who can neither deceive nor be deceived.
“Even in natural things there are many mysteries which we accept on the testimony of our fellowmen. We believe what the astronomers tell us about the stars and the planets, although we cannot prove these truths ourselves. Not even the most learned scientist understands fully the nature of the force we call electricity; yet we all know that there is such a force and we unhesitatingly accept the information that scientists give us about it. “How much more willing should we be to believe the marvelous truth which God Himself has made known to us-that He is one in nature and three in Persons-even though we cannot perceive this truth by our own reason nor understand how each divine Person can be identical with the divine nature, yet really distinct from the other two Persons!” Baltimore Catechism https://www.drbo.org/cat/htm/02003.htm#:~:text=there%20in%20God%3F-,A.,we%20cannot%20understand%20it%20fully. Someone commented that the Baltimore Catechism is not valid anymore. Is it logical for a catechism to suddenly lose validity simply because another comes along? I’m not an armchair theologian. I quote the Bible, Catechism, popes, and saints. When I make a comment, it is usually an emotional reaction. Some devalue emotions, but without art, literature, music, film, and the Bible, the world would be a sorry place. What do you think the confession box is for? Joyful moments? We save the palm leaf all year and return it to be burned, and that is where the ashes come from for the forehead. People laid palms to cover Jesus's path as he arrived in Jerusalem (Palm Sunday), just days before he was crucified (Good Friday). Because the palms have been blessed by a priest, instead of throwing them out, they are saved until the next year to create ashes for Ash Wednesday. Sacramentals like the blessed palm leaf must either be buried or returned to be burned. Catholic priests started putting ashes on foreheads every Ash Wednesday at least as early as the 8th century, when the practice can be found in the Gregorian Sacramentary (a book with directives for the liturgy). That’s simply the earliest recorded date for doing so—it’s likely a much earlier tradition. Fr. Curtis, FSSP, said that only the catechumens received ashes in the beginning, but already-baptized Catholics liked the practice and petitioned the hierarchy. One side of the church had a perfect cross on the forehead. Fr. Schwab, FSSP, has a talent for dusting. When the priest marks the sign of the cross on your forehead, he says... Latin root for pulverize is pulvis, dust.

The summary comes from Wikipedia, a resource I use because the entry on the Catholic Church is accurate and because entries go through a reviewing and editing process. If anyone has a better resource that is not too complicated, please provide a link. “The earliest surviving account of the celebration of the Eucharist or Mass in Rome is that of Saint Justin Martyr (died c. 165), in chapter 67 of his First Apology: … “The descriptions of the Mass liturgy in Rome by Hippolytus (died c. 235) and Novatian (died c. 250) are similar to Justin’s. … “It is unclear when the language of the celebration changed from Greek to Latin. Pope Victor I [pontiff 189-199, saint] may have been the first to use Latin in the liturgy in Rome. Others think Latin was finally adopted nearly a century later. The change was probably gradual, with both languages being used for a while. … “The Roman Missal that Pope Pius V issued at the request of the Council of Trent (1545-1563) gradually established uniformity within the Western Church after a period that had witnessed regional variations in the choice of Epistles, Gospels, and prayers at the Offertory, the Communion, and the beginning and end of Mass. “With the exception of a few dioceses and religious orders, the use of this Missal was made obligatory, giving rise to the 400-year period when the Roman-Rite Mass took the form now known as the Tridentine Mass.” We use the 1962 edition of the Missal. Its 1,850 pages are so good, so comprehensive, so eloquent that they are all I need for daily living. For example, the Morning Prayer contains references to Proverbs, Psalms, Lamentations, and Isaiah. The Mass itself is printed in Latin and the vernacular on each page. The 1962 was the last printing before certain men claimed that the spirit of Vatican II entitled them to start removing, rewording, reinventing, and retranslating every part of the Mass. See https://www.robertedunn.com/mass-of-the-ages.html. If possible, leave the New Order church, which is on a downward slope. Recommendations: FSSP, SSPX, ICKSP. Rating: zero stars Back in 2012, Cardinal Wuerl removed Father Marcel Guarnizzo, a priest on loan from the Moscow Archdiocese to the Washington Archdiocese, because the priest denied communion to a woman who told him that she was a Buddhist and in a same-sex relationship with another. A person living in mortal sin may not receive. Everyone knows that, and the priest was correct in refusing to give her communion. Wuerl denied removing him. He said instead that his assignment had ended. This cardinal protected McCarrick, was a liar on sex abuse cases, and got replaced by Francis in May 2019 by a man totally against the Latin Mass, Wilton Gregory. XV 1786) is the earliest known manuscript of a Catholic hymn in Ancient Greek to contain both lyrics and musical notation. From the Latin oxyrhynchus, from the Ancient Greek ὀξῠ́ρρῠγχος, the Latinized version oxúrrhunkhos, the word is a kind of Egyptian fish. The fish is a Catholic symbol and is based on the first letters of the Greek words for Jesus Christ. The Greek word for fish is Ichthus, which is also an acronym for Jesus. The Greek, Iesous CHristos THeou Uios Soter, translates in English to, Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior. To a trained ear, the sound resembles Gregorian Chant because it is somewhat lyrical, and was, perhaps, a precursor. All was stricken from the New Mass, and in its place, “May almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life.” I want certainty, and I do not see that happening in the new Mass, that is, the priest does not forgive me of my venial sins.
Receiving communion does, but not all receive. I spend hours debating with myself what words to say in conversation or in writing, and how much more care does God give to His. The rewrite by Bugnini is purposely imprecise. Reject it. Thomas Weinandy, OFM Cap “In 2017, Weinandy wrote a letter charging that Francis is fostering ‘chronic confusion’, ‘demeaning’ the importance of doctrine, appointing bishops who ‘scandalize’ believers with dubious ‘teaching and pastoral practice’, giving prelates who object the impression they will be ‘marginalized or worse’ if they speak out, causing many faithful Catholics to ‘lose confidence in their supreme shepherd’. Jesus Wept (Jésus pleura) James Tissot, Nantes, France, 1836–1902, Chenecey-Buillon, France Following the death of His friend Lazarus, Jesus goes to Bethany to comfort Martha and Mary Magdalene for a loss that He also felt keenly. Both women lament that Jesus was absent when Lazarus took ill, knowing that He would have prevented the death with His healing powers. Affected by the loss, Jesus weeps. Led to the darkened tomb of Lazarus, Jesus commands the removal of the stone covering the opening and, after a prayer to God, resurrects the dead man before witnesses who gasp in astonishment. the religions of genderism, liberalism, capitalism, liberationism, racism, communism, marxism, modernism, protestantism, materialism, occultism, new ageism, anarchism, and scientism, in no particular order, doubly false Title: Dante and Virgile
