Sacrifice Mass is ground zero.
Gestures are important in everyday life. Why would they be any less important to God Almighty? One sees the priest lift the pall and place it back on the chalice several times. The word “pall” comes from pallium (Latin for cloak). A pall is a stiffened square card covered with white linen, usually embroidered. Its purpose is to keep dust/insects from falling onto or into the Eucharistic elements. Symbolically, it represents the pall over a coffin. The crucified Christ was wrapped in white linen. Mass can be said on a battlefield, and do his vestments not look like armor with all the girding and wrapping of his body and chastity? He can say Mass alone or with thousands present.
