Sometimes, I wonder if the American Experiment will ever work. I might have been born in the wrong place and the wrong era. I wish I lived in a society where Catholicism pervaded. I would not be required to muzzle myself, and everyone would know what I mean, and no one would have malformed beliefs. Conformity would be somewhat heavy, but Catholic conformity, with some exceptions, is not oppressive. In fact, it permits fun creativity while never abandoning truth. The closest thing I can think of in America is the Catholic school today. Some schools have concentrations of non-Catholics, yet all are joined into one. The now-sloppy-in-some-places school uniform symbolizes that oneness. The first day of school for one of my students attending Catholic school is Aug 25, 2021. His heritage is Muslim Tatar, and he is a fine young man. I kidded him that he has warrior status. Yikes! You, the reader, might misunderstand. He has a tender, Apollonian nature and loving parents whose family's journey around the globe ranks. I'll defend this family against idiots.
