Huxley (1894-1963) graduated from the same college as G. M. Hopkins, SJ, (1844-1889), Huxley in English Literature, Hopkins in Classics (Latin and Greek languages).

I was always thinking that our world would more become "Huxleyesk" than "Orwellian", with drugs, shale pleasures, etc. But now, with high inflation, economic crisises, sophisticated surveillance techniques, it has also got a stark tendency to Orwell's dystopia... 6/28/2022 02:31:19 am
