“At present, the number of students receiving a Catholic home education [in the US] is estimated to be between 80,000 and 100,000…this estimate is derived from the number of total homeschoolers in the country and the number of students enrolled in the Catholic home study programs.”

The outdated estimate is all I could find. The number has increased manyfold since 2011.

The Catholic Church strongly supports homeschooling. Several documents of the Church use language specifically stating that parents must be acknowledged as the first and foremost educators of their children: Vatican II Declaration on Christian Education #3.

As of Jan. 9, 2023, the most popular Catholic homeschool program is Angelicum Academy, founded in 2000.
