I’m a Roman Catholic, period. The designation needs no further clarification.
Accepting and believing all that is in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC), including attendance at Sunday Mass, does not make me a “traditionalist Catholic”.
Latin Mass goers use words like “trad” to signify that they attend Mass every Sunday and accept all of tradition, which is a minimum.
Unless very sick, failing to go every Sunday is a mortal sin, destination Hell, not Brazil.
Tradition is a pillar without which the Church is apostate. Some will refer to this Church as “the ape of the Church”.
Close to 100% of Latin Mass goers attend every Sunday.
As for other American Catholics, 20-25% attend Mass every Sunday.
The rest will go where they don’t want to go if they do not get to confession first or confess on that deathbed, which brings me back to terms.
