André Campra (1660-1744) composed the Requiem Mass. The vestments are embroidered with pure silver thread. After taking it all in, you will realize how special a priest is.

In his last testament, Louis XVI lamented the fact he was prevented from making his confession to a priest and hoped he could, but his execution occurred on 1/21/1793. The testament is read in French at the end of Mass, and the English translation is in my 1/22/2023 entry.
