I did a quick survey of Quora contributors regarding the credibility of the History Channel.

The History Channel is owned by A&E Networks, which is an American multinational broadcasting company and a 50–50 joint venture between Hearst Communications and The Walt Disney Company through its General Entertainment Content division.

The consensus is that the History Channel is not credible.
