To reiterate, the Bible is not the Church. They are the people in heaven and purgatory and those on Earth who have accepted the truths handed down by the apostles, as taught them by Christ, to the present day.

The Missal is the way we worship. To say that the Bible is more is a very old heresy, one that needs to be buried.

The Latin/English Missal contains the Bible, the Douay-Rheims (DR), which is the approved English translation, the derivation of which was action by Rome in A.D. 382 and St. Jerome’s translation of the texts into Latin between 383 and 404.

He originally translated it all from Greek, but as he went along, he corrected the Old Testament against the Hebrew original.

The DR (New Testament 1582, Old Testament 1609-1610) is superior to all other English translations by virtue of approbation and this history. If one is ignorant of history, one is going to repeat errors.
