The sounds of the letters g, j, k, l, m, n, and w are ambrosia, and the words are dazzling or side-splitting. I just finished tutoring Altan (13). He read this post, and I told him the reason I ended up majoring in English was due to words, read, recited, or sung. He is most interested in math, and for one of his private high school applications, we worked on the reasons why it might be math for him. Though more percipient to math because it makes sense, as there is only one right answer, he is a fine student of English and is reading White Fang, a title that suggests something mean and nasty, but it isn't.
