Painted around 1495-1498, The Last Supper, L’Ultima Cena, (cena, supper) is in such delicate condition that only 1,300 people are allowed in the room to see the painting each day in small groups every 15 minutes. Digital restoration, not touching the painting itself, allows the viewer to see Jesus’ feet and salt from the spilled salt shaker. The painting is art, whereas Mass is more than art: we keep His company. What I am seeing are 12 disputatious men. Pentecost brought 11 of 12 up to speed.

A copy of this famous painting, in form of a mosaic, is in Vienna's Minorite Church, which was until a few years the church of the Viennese Italians, and then given as a present by them to the FSSPX.
