In the other video, the first float was the Last Supper, and the second float was the BVM. For that video I explained costumes. Men in hatted costumes are called Nazarenos or penitentes – the penitent ones. They are members of various brotherhoods and dress in capirote, which is a Catholic, cone-shaped, pointed hat from the Spanish Inquisition (start 1478). I was lucky to catch and watch such a procession, when I visited Spain during the Holy Week for a few days in the year 2000.
