The Heiress (1949) Exceptionally good movie for its realism. The TCM host did a poor review. She interviewed black women, and they all concluded the movie had to do with body image. Their review was strictly political. True, the star is a woman, but the theme applies equally to men and women. The theme is, “You came of age and lost your innocence.” Once I was young and easy-on-the-eyes. I was not wanted for my money, no, but for what I could do, the doors I could open, and the help I could give. TCM has fallen to the falsities of the new culture.
