The Heiress (1949) Exceptionally good movie for its realism. The TCM host did an extremely poor review. She who is young and pretty interviewed black women, and they all concluded the movie had to do with body image. Their review was strictly political. True, the star is a woman, but the theme applies equally to men and women. The theme is, “You came of age and lost your innocence.” Once I was young and easy-on-the-eyes. I was not wanted for my money, no, but for what I could do, the doors I could open, and the help I could give, not for me. TCM has fallen to the falsities of the new culture. I have not.
