How to convert a mixed number to a percent?
A mixed number is a whole number and a proper fraction: 3 ½
The mixed number 3 ½ represents 300% and 50%.
Example: An agricultural process showed an improvement of 350%.
If the improvement were only 50%, there is no mixed number, because there is only a fraction, ½. So, it is possible to convert a mixed number to a percent only if the number is more than 100%, as in 350%.
Also, if one wants a decimal, divide by 100, which converts the % to a decimal.
350/100 = 3.50
