Introit today -
“Judge me, O God, and distinguish my cause from the nation that is not holy: deliver me from the unjust and deceitful man. For Thou are my God and my strength. Ps. 42, 3. Send forth Thy light and Thy truth: they have conducted me, and brought me unto Thy holy hill, and into Thy tabernacles. Judge me.” The words are prayed by the priest and altar boys at the start of Mass. We ask for His judgment. Surprised? I was talking with a friend at church about the cost of gas. Bill is the father of five, and two are altar boys. I stopped whining when he told me he drives his altar boys to church three to five times a week. I felt God’s judgment at that moment. That happens a lot, doesn’t it?
