This young lady analyzes The Young Pope (television series) from a fashion point of view. In the first half this non-Catholic speaks about the crisis of faith in the modern world and the paradox of a traditional man surrounded by modernism [my term]. Many of us do not see ourselves in this crisis of faith, but we do find ourselves in the paradox, and she must know that. I get the sense from seeing and listening to her that she might find herself in the paradox, too. I disagree with her phrase, “extreme conservatism.” I would change the phrase to, “purist Catholicism.”

I like the review for the YOUNG POPE. Interesting review from a fashion/designer view. The red Pope Shoes were actually gifted to Pope Benedict and he wore them. They actually looked good with the white contrast of his habit and he seemed to enjoy wearing them. I think they were Prada but I am not sure.

Thanks. I saw a feature report on television when B was pope. The shoemaker had a small shop in Rome and had been making the red shoes for several popes. Bob
